A boat slowly pulled up to the side of the docks as it anchored itself into position.
“Here's your stop.”, said the boat driver smiling.
Andrew stared at him with a straight face and nodded in reply. He got off of the boat and took his stuff off with him. The boat driver tipped his hat as he brought the anchor back up onto the ship and slowly pulled out of the docks. Andrew turned to look at the camp and shook his head in disappointment.
“It's for the poor, Andrew. It's for the poor...”, he said to himself while taking in a deep breath and letting it out with an immense sigh. “Cowards die a million times, but the valiant die but once.”
He made his way down the docks and headed straight for the cabins to drop off his stuff. Along the way, he saw the other campers going about their own business. The sun was shining bright that afternoon and the walk felt like an eternity because of the blasted heat. Even though it was blazing hot, he stood strong, showed no emotion, showed no weaknesses. If he was going to win, he needed to give everyone the impression that he was superior in mind, body, and soul, and nothing was going to take the money away from the poor.
His composure was that of an emperor's in that it was straight and steady, every step taken in a rhythmic beat. One, two. One, two. One, two. Each step balanced, none was heavier or lighter than the other. He had the air of a king surrounding him. His prodigious mind thinking of things, like steps that he would need to take in order to dominate over the competition. The things he would need to do in order to stay a step or two in front of his competition at all times.
Failure was unacceptable, no, intolerable, and Andrew would accept, or tolerate, nothing less than perfection and success. The key to success, in Andrew's mind, was hard work, dedication, motivation, and ambition. The four cornerstones to success. After all of this alone time with himself, while walking to the cabins, he was able to waste time along the way and use a lot of it for future ideas. Nobody knew what he had in store for the other campers.
